Official Poll: How do you care for your herds during winter?

My goats have open access to their straw covered stable in the shed. They like to sleep on a wooden pallet, so my grandson built them a corner "shelf" to let them sleep up off the ground if they want to, or cozy up together underneath. They forage all around their 1/2 acre year-round. They...

    Who uses collars on goats?

I have nylon dog collars in red, blue and black with plastic clips so I can tell from a distance who is who. My Nigerian dwarf wethers look like miniature deer, so it's hard to tell them apart from my kitchen window. I like to watch them and see who's the "toughest" of the day.

New goat owner in the Pacific NW

Mine have a fenced 1/4 acre of blackberries and brush to browse normally. I've got some other areas of my yard that I'd like them to clear some Ivy out for me, but have some flowers close, that I don't want them eating. So was wondering how the tire worked.

I like to look at pictures and videos, and when I click on the box at the top...it takes me there, but I'm only able to see like 5 pictures...how can I see the "pictures of the weeks" ...past?

    Grandma's Nigerian dwarf goats

Hi everybody, I just found this site last night. I am an old lady who lives in a little mountain town in Oregon. I babysat for a friend's 3 wethers last winter as she winters in Mexico. I enjoyed them so much, that after she returned and collected her goats, I went with some of my grandkids (I...
