Thanks for the compliment on the kid. Much appreciated. We just had a lot of concern about the area on her.

Our Boer goat kidded yesterday afternoon. She had one kid (female) and we noticed her bottom looks red and slightly swollen/buldging - since immediately after birth. I've seen her urinate and deficate so no problems there. See attached picture - any ideas?

We have goats and chickens in the same area together. The goats are fed a medicated pellet feed. Inevitably some of the feed is pushed out of the trough by them. Are there any ill effects of the chickens eating some of this feed?
