    Abscess on lamb's leg *GRAPHIC*

Alright, I got back from cleaning it out a second time. There was less pus in the cavity, and it was easier to get out. I also noticed a bald patch on the rear leg opposite the injured leg. Before, during, and the rear leg images included.

    Abscess on lamb's leg *GRAPHIC*

Awhile ago one of my Tunis x Arcott lamb's leg got badly injured and swelled up. I got him to the vet too late, sadly, and she said the internal wound had already calcified. He wasn't in pain, so I decided to simply plan on slaughtering him come spring. About two weeks later, I notice there was...

    Aggressive Ram and Pregnant Ewes

As a forward, my ram is no more aggressive most of the time than any other ram. He's actually a real sweetheart when he's not influenced by hormones. So I have a bit of a problem on my hands. My wonderful Tunis yearling ram has gotten quite aggressive with my very pregnant ewes (they're due in...

Single Strand Electric fencing for sheep?

Just wondering about the usage of a single strand electric fence for a flock of sheep. They're left in the pasture all night long with a run-in shelter. Would the fence keep predators at bay?

    Limping 2-Week Old Lamb

Thanks for your feedback, Latestarter! We called a vet clinic about an hour after I posted my problem on BYH. The vet said he could take a look at her as soon as we could get her to the clinic, so that was great. Dr. Goodman palpated the limp leg very carefully and compared it to her good...

    Limping 2-Week Old Lamb

Thanks for your welcome! My lamb is drinking her bottles enthusiastically, and she has a normal temperature. Her previous owner gave her colostrum on her first day, so that's good.

    Limping 2-Week Old Lamb

I have a limping 2-Week old suffolk ewe lamb. None of her hooves are hot and there are no swellings on her legs. I'm new to both sheep and BYH (though I am WildWyandott110 on BYC). Any advice? I'm REALLY worried.... She and another lamb I keep for company are both bottle babies and have decent...
