    Thinking about Lasik eye surgery

I am 48 and I am not a vane person. I don't wear makeup, I don't get my nails done, I never wear anything but work boots, tennis shoes or flip flops. I am thinking about Lasik because the glasses I wear dig into my nose and it hurts. I am due for my yearly check up and just wanted to see what my...

    Thinking about Lasik eye surgery

I am thinking about lasik eye surgery and was wondering if anyone out there has an opinion on the topic. I need glasses for seeing far distances but just recently started needing reading glasses. I am tired of glasses but if the procedure won't take care of both problems which problem should be...

Born last night and has diarrhea

At first mom wasn't cleaning it off now she is or at least the backside isn't nasty looking. I thought about going in there with baby wipes but then I saw it was clean. Thank goodness. There again I have done some pretty gross stuff by city standards since we have moved to our farm. Now I don't...

Born last night and has diarrhea

Yesterday it was watery, today it is more like soft serve ice cream or pudding. She is nursing well and is seeming to be doing alright. Her mom is a first time mom and is doing very good allowing her to nurse when she wants and keeping a close eye on her. Thank you for your input. I just wanted...

Born last night and has diarrhea

I have a female boer kid that was born last night. She is nursing just fine but has yellow diarrhea. I am new to this so I don't know if this is normal and it goes away in a day or 2 or if there is something wrong. If you can help me out I would really appreciate it. TIA

New Mamma goats do I need to milk?

Our friends own a petting zoo and have lots of bottle babies and they are feeding them the same thing their bottle babies are eating. They have lots of does that they can get milk from but I think most of the food is from formula. My main concern is the moms right now. One of the mom's gave...

    Bloat... how to control it?

Hi Everyone, I am new to goats (about 3 weeks old). We suspect that some of our goats have bloat because they have extended sides. I was told to free feed baking soda and this will help control the bloat. Has anyone had experience with this? What do you recommend? Sorry if this is in the wrong...

    Howdy from Aubrey, TX

Well we named him Dr. Jason Bull after the TV show. As I said he is in with the goats and the baby goat that is about 1 1/2 week old is climbing on top of him and playing on him like he his her own personal playground. I will post pics once I figure out how to do it. He will be meat eventually...

    Howdy from Aubrey, TX

Yes he has all of his original parts. He had been pulled from the petting side of the business and they were going to breed him with some of their cows but he is on the short side and could not seal the deal. That is how we got him.

We got him from a petting zoo. He is super friendly and loves to have his head and chin scratched. His is in with the goats right now and they seem to be getting along great! There again that is where he was at the petting zoo was in with the goats and lamas.
