Oh she goes slow right under it. Pushes it up to go under. I have the strand as low as it can go. Was wondering if putting her pinch collar on vs no collar etc if any of that would make difference.
I mentioned prior doing this but yes going to have try it now....ugh sooooo don't want to. She was.petried.of same fence before and worked for a year now moved and she goes back and forth under it.... Same as you mentioned. Husband touches it and woah feels it...we are good....dog....goes right...
I still can't keep dog in. With it measuring 11k on meter, etc she goes right under. Even shaved some of her hair. Thought about putting metal collar on her, no good....have 3 ground rods, no grass or anything touching lines. 3 strands, bottom is high tensile wire...watched her go right under no...
HAHA I love this plan! I did get a 300ft roll and going to be working on street side first. Our last property I did something similar and by the time I left it was perfect! Very hard to start over and go through all this. But glad I got tons of good info here. Once my hands heal some from wire...
Looks to be working this AM too! I saw a lamb run from it (havent seen them get shocked but also havent seen them get out) The dog will be the test later when I am ready to catch her IF she gets out. Fingers crossed because this week has wore me out of fixing fences and catching lambs! I have...
So did as mentioned and not working. Should I connect to each line from pasture 1 to each separate strand on pasture 2? Also Do I need to use wire to connect each line to each other on end of fence circuit on pasture 1 (where I prev had solar charger and connected strand 1 to 2 and 2 to 3)
This is basically what I have going on. I want to connect the 2. Can I just use extra metal wire and connect the 2 right in the middle. Like 1 wire from bottom line of one pasture to bottom line of other pasture?
Lots of good info. Thank you. The guy who put our ground it but it about 2 feet in but we have about 3-4 ft out of the ground so def working on that tonight (if I can get it in further) Fingers crossed. Appreciate everyones advice.
Well I cant afford all new posts now. I have been using mostly these with some step in posts with more spots as I add on/as needed. Im using the lower 3 notches on these.
Yesterday coincidentally went to someones house and saw they have a Parmak 6 solar and asked how that works for them. Terrible! The only thing I changed from my farm (besides some different soil) is the charger (and went solar). SO just got Parmak 8 and its hitting at 12.5 (joules?) on the...
So does anyone think it's a bad idea to do the bottom aluminum and rest poly? The strands are very close too. Or I can connect the 2 chargers/fences together?
I will have to say that they are not all getting out, some lambs are (75# lambs). Most seem to get it. The dog part is also weird. Even now I looked and this lamb is laying against the wire. Nothing is touching wire. Meter says 10k. The dog is weird too. She was absolutely petrified of it...
