I feed my horses alfalfa and I'm looking to get a llama to add to the herd mostly for predator alerting/protection. Is it okay feed them a portion in alfalfa? My co-worker raises and breeds pigs, she told me that horses HATE pigs and they can't co-exist. I would love to raise a pig (for eating) but planned on free ranging it in the pasture (giving grain also). If what she said is true I would need another plan. So can anyone answer my dumb question?

Does goat milk freeze well? Never thought of that. I know cow milk isn't great after freezing.

ksalvagno, Do you like the nigerian dwarf's? I know a lady who is also selling one of those but I couldn't find as much on the breed where people said positive things, maybe I am just in the wrong section.

Doe for sale on CL, is a oberhasli/alpine cross bred to a sannen. All I want is a good milk goat. Can anyone lend advice on this mix? And the potential offspring?
