I have watched video after video on making goat milk soap, everyone seems to be using the little hand held mixer for this, then the other day I came across a lady using her blender and I was wondering why couldnt you use a regular 2 blade mixerr?
Does this whip up the soap to much? if so...
I have been looking on the net for days for an old fashion recipe for goat soap, using lard and measuring cups and spoons.
I do not have a scale and would like to make the soap like they did years ago, without the scale.
Does anyone have a recipe for the soap using regular measuring cups?
I'm sorry for your loss, it is so easy to get attached to the ladies.
I have lost 2 doelings in the last 2 weeks, both were from different ladies but the youngest of twins.
The night before they were fine next day, laying almost dead in their shed, I cried when I burried both of them.

Many years ago my dad was raising about 150 goats and 150 sheep, he used to have the beanerys bring out their trash (broken beans) the goats and sheep just loved this.

Not having a/c I know what they smelled like 100 years ago, just like I do now! I hate it when I have to run to town to get something and run into someone that I haven't seen for ages and they always want a hug. I always tell them I stink. :idunno
they are very nice looking goats, I just have a thing about the no ears, to me it's like their not completely built yet. But yours are beautiful.:thumbsup

I guess I missed the post about bucks being hard to raise, (which I am glad) because my fellow is a sweet heart also. When the females are in heat I keep an extra eye on him just because he is male, but usually all he wants is to make me as stinky as he is.:thumbsup
Do you like the personality of the buckling? I find that, that makes a big difference in weather or not I make a wether out of the buckling, I am into gentle loving males that throw large kids with lots of color.
I fixed one of my bucks last year and even though he has beautiful coloring I'm...
