    Anyone use a hammock?

Yes, they are always looking for a comfy spot to sit. This little guys prefers our laps, but someone has to get the chores done!

    Overly needy goats?

Our little guys have a couple of stumps that they stand on, so they can watch for us in the morning. They can see us moving around the house through the back windows. They used to cry (a little) when we first got them, but they don't really do too much of that now. Usually we come see them in...

    Anyone use a hammock?

Hi there, kind of a funny question... But I'm wondering if anyone uses a hammock style sleeping situation for their goats? I think I remember hearing about this somewhere, but didn't come up with any search results here at BYH. I started thinking about this yesterday after I got a chuckle from...

Anyone need a baby fix? overload of pictures

They are sooo cute! I have to figure out how to convince my husband that we need another. I have 2 dwf nigerian wethers. I think we need 1 larger sized wether to reach the high branches... :) Thanks for the pics. brings a smile to the face.

    llama-sitter?

The best house/pet sitters I know are college kids looking to get away from their roommates for a few days. It's a pretty big treat for them to have a whole house to themselves! Plus, I try to have some tasty food in the fridge/cupboards for them. And some cash.

    llama-sitter?

Thanks for the advice. We were thinking more along the lines that they would keep each other company. But the sharing parasites possibility is not something I want to play with, for either of our sake! I wish we could just pack up our little guys (they are smaller than our dog!) and take them...

    llama-sitter?

Good fence (chain-link) that leads into a barn. My goats are just eating hay and browsing stickers and leaves (they are not dairy). I'm just wondering if llamas and little goats would get along.

    llama-sitter?

Hi there, In response to our recent acquisition of 2 nigerian dwarf goats, our neighbors (a few doors down) got 2 6-year old llamas. Talking about "keeping up with the Jones'". ;) Anyway, I asked if she and her son could watch our goats when we go too see family for a few days in July and she...

    electric net pen

Good point about my shoes! I was also cringing b/c they inevitably touch it with their noses. :( ouch.

    electric net pen

Well... it was hard. They both got a couple of shocks, and I hated to see them look so betrayed. I tried to make it clear that they should stay in the center (making noise and trying to redirect them), where the tasty brambles are, but they were curious about the fence. Also, it didn't help that...

    electric net pen

Hi there, Today is a big day for our little guys (2 dwarf nigerians wethers - actually the youngest will be a wether in a couple of weeks). We got our electric net set-up in the mail yesterday and are going to create a new little section for them to do their work. I think we will probably just...

    Look what we built

Wow, that is really nice. I'm going to print these out and put them on the fridge as a "hint"...

    Rain, rain go away

Some big rocks would be nice. I heard that it's good for them to have rocks to help grind away at their hooves. I may have to get a few big landscape rocks.

    Rain, rain go away

Hi Chelsea! Yes, they are wonderful little guys. Thanks for taking such good care of them. They are very friendly and affectionate. The little guy jumped from a log onto my back the other day when I was bending over petting his big brother. I was laughing so hard. He was just standing there...

    Rain, rain go away

Hello all, this is my first post here and I'm a brand new goat owner. We have two dwarf nigerian wethers who are 2 mos and 1 year old, we have had them for just about 1 week. Sadly, the weather here has been pretty terrible and rainy most of the week. I'm feeling kind of bad b/c they really...
