Hi there, kind of a funny question... But I'm wondering if anyone uses a hammock style sleeping situation for their goats? I think I remember hearing about this somewhere, but didn't come up with any search results here at BYH.

I started thinking about this yesterday after I got a chuckle from my little whether. I was cleaning their pen and they were grazing around the back yard when I noticed he had made himself very comfy in my "zero gravity" lawn chair. They love those chairs!

Anyway, I wondered if anyone has tried it and if it's worth trying. Especially now that winter is looming.

He sure looks comfy! Don't have any info on hammocks for goats, but I knew a lady who had a mini mancha who thought her sun shade was a hammock. The shade was one of those triangular ones. The goat would get up on the roof of her shelter and somehow get on the sun shade. Goaties, got to love them. They are such creatures of comfort.

My little girls really enjoy plastic lawn chairs. I have a pair in their pasture, so I can sit with them. But more often than not, they chill in them while chewing their cud.

Your little guy looks very happy! I think the problem with a hammock is that a goat may get wound up in it or hurt somehow.

Yes, they are always looking for a comfy spot to sit. This little guys prefers our laps, but someone has to get the chores done!
