I found this site, and milking a goat her whole life without rebreeding her seems pretty remarkable. I'm wondering if anyone has tried it. Here's the link:

Thank you. :P
Has anyone read "Your Goats, A kids Guide to Raising and Showing"? I have been reading and re-reading it, but I wanted to know how accurate it is. I'm pretty sure that the info in there is correct because much of the info I have seen here on BYH. Thanks.
Here in Northern CA, the most I have ever gotten was 4ft, in these storms that came right after the other! I love that the rest of our family live close and are willing to help.
Ya, my mom said that this year isn't going to work anyways, so next year is in process. The thing is that I keep getting really discouraged, and I don't know what to do about it. I try to repeat this thing I made up, Get Over All Timidness Silly and get GOATS, and it helps a bit, and also just...
Here are some rough plans so far, when my brother and dad saw it they were confused, so it doesn't make much sense right now.
Okay never mind, I can't put on pictures, or at least I can't figure out how. :somad So maybe it will work later. *Sigh* :smack
I'm back. Sorry, I didn't drop off the face of the earth.
Yes I would be planning to have milk goats. That is a great idea about having weathers first, that way I can find out the routine needed with some flexibility.
I have already made a design for a goat house. I'm still working on...
I've read that the minimum for each mini, is 10 sq. ft. But if they are staying in there all the time, I would increase it to 30 sq ft. each like SheepGirl said.:)
I don't think it will affect her too much. I think it would take more to do some harm. Like dogs, it takes about a pound of chocolate to kill a large/medium dog, or so I've heard. :)
(I don't have goats, so this info might not be true.) :hide
Sorry, yesterday I was feeling somewhat down and made everything seem worse than it really is.
For routine I would need to do more research and be VERY comitted, then I would a lot better.
Currently I am not to well off money-wise, but in the summer there is much more coming in.
I have already...
Hey I am pretty new here, and I want goats! I already have chickens and I love them. So to the point. I think I live on .7 acre slope with my house more towards the top. My front and back yards are fenced in with nothing between them. The back yard is more of the get-together spot to have fun...
I had a goat dream too! But it was a black doeling with white on the insides of her legs, and in my dream she was eating EVERYTHING! The funny thing is that I don't have goats! :)
