I was wondering my Daisy had three girls yesterday and she is one of three herself. Her mother ran out of milk and it was struggle to keep them going a healthy by letting them nurse from rest of herd (they didn't cooperate on their own) until they started eating. Any suggestions on increasing her milk production early on. Babies are healthy and nursing well at 2 days and starting to play on their own.

sometimes just increasing their grain will help with milk production. adding calfmanna also helps. good hay, plenty of FRESH,CLEAN water is very important for production. if it appears she will not produce enough, supplementing with a bottle for the babies will help them, but must start that soon, or they won't take a bottle. using milk from other goats would be best, but other milk can be used

Good quality Alfalfa hay and plenty of grain will drastically affect how much milk she will produce.

I went and purchased the Calf Manana and so far so good, they always have fresh water,hay and grained twice a day an we always pen the new moms up for a least a couple of days to see that all is going as suppose too. Will put up picts as soon as I can figure out how

Too cute! Missy I have a boxer,too. Mine is brindle with black mask and white markings. He is a great help with my chickens and goats. How is your's around your animals?

First off sorry for highjacking your post...

My boxer is wonderful with the chickens and goats. She is very good at rounding up the animals when it is time for them return to their pens. They move when they see her, but don't run and are not afraid of her. SHe was also excellent with the babies last year, very protective of them. Momma could feed them and take care of them, but when one of the bossy ones would make an attempt to plow the babies, Dayna would bark and away the bossy one would go She is just wonderful! Love love love boxers!
