From my experiences you can definitely feed the 15% and save yourself some money. You will want to feed pregnant does 17% but 15% can be used. I have never noticed a difference in my rabbits when I switched from 17% to 15%.

So you feed your pregnant does 17% & everything else 15%?

You can get 19% protein in alfalfa hay.
There is also the option of Calf Mana which is in the 25% range.
My breeders get 1tsp. daily and lactating does get 1Tb. daily.
Lots of options.

15% protein is better for the rabbits. The extra protein is not used, and just accumulates into fat. That takes points at the show table, and work at slaughter. I wish my feed store had 15%:hit
