Vermont is on the map for having low levels of selenium in the forage and because they have moderately high levels of molybdenum and iron, copper intake may be an issue also even though the level of copper itself is fine in your area. With those legs, it would be safe to say there is a mineral issue.

Mavis has Rickets. Apparently there just was not enough VIT D to go around to all four kids as she was the only one affected. She continues to improve. I give her half & half in her bottles. That is half her Dam's milk which I get daily and half whole milk. I do this to boost her VIT D intake. Will be getting Vitamin A-D-E Gel for goats on Friday, then I will back off the whole milk and just give her the Dam's milk.

Today she is jumping around and playing as goat kids should. She plays for about 10 minutes before she will take her bottle. Then a bit more playing after and when she is finished she goes to the dog kennel and climbs back in for her nap. It's just darn cute!
