Just a reminder…
If you have a member in mind that you would like to nominate for the BYH Friend and / or the BYH Greeter award, please send a Private Message to @Support or myself, with the member you are nominating's username, the award you are nominating them for and a why you are nominating the member for that specific award.
PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS THREAD WITH YOUR NOMINATIONS.
Here is a full list of the awards and the criteria for each:
1.
BYH Educator: This is a Staff awarded accolade. This award reflects only the highest standards. Only those who adhere to the highest standards of knowledge and education will be considered for this award. While nominations will be accepted for this award, the Staff will thoroughly vet each person and only those who meet/exceed the Staff's high criteria will be awarded the Educator Badge. Nominees must, among other points, have a verifiable reputation of providing information more than just "common knowledge," assist members in a positive and courteous manner, be open to feedback without getting defensive, and should maintain their good standing with little disciplinary action for rules violation.
2.
BYH Master Herder:
These individuals are the BYH community's core members. They are long standing members of the BYH community. They assist other members in any way that they can, be it animals or family these members are there. They strive to educate, promote, support and uphold the values and goals of the BYH community as a whole. They are trusted educators, dependable friends and valuable community members. These individuals have been assisting others for at least 3 years, have made a minimum of 3,000 posts, are currently active members and have received 200 plus likes from the community!

BYH Spirit:
These individuals best demonstrate ALL-AROUND outstanding service and commitment to the BYH members and community. While maybe not expert educators, they are trusted Educators nonetheless, as well as Friends to all. They are dedicated to the BYH Community as a whole, and strive to help promote, support and uphold its values and goals. They are members who have been around for at least 1 year, made 1,500 or more posts, are currently active members and received at least 50 likes from the BYH community.

BYH Friend:
This is a community nominated award. These individuals are just plain fun and great to have around! They are our favourite comedians and enablers; our most talkative. They are always accessible to lend a cordial and helping hand. Their enthusiasm encourages us, their empathy comforts us.
5.
BYH Greeter:
These individuals are our BYH "Welcome Wagon!" They are the members that are most active in welcoming the new members to our community, especially in the "New Member Introductions" forum. Nominees will be judged on a) How long they've been welcoming new members; b) How many new members they welcome; and c) The quality and friendliness of their welcome. This is a community nominated award.

While we are on the questions... I have one....
Have you considered an award for an outstanding post/article?
For example @greybeard put up a great and detailed info post about fence corners.
I recommended him putting it in article form so it would be easily accessible. Not sure if he did or not but it really is the best on corner fencing.
Side note- sometimes DH doesn't like when his wonderful wife ( yes, that is ME
) tells him something he is doing isn't right... and thankfully I was able to show him Greybeards post on floating braces/corners. DH thought it was brilliant and read through all of it- YES - a MAN read through something 
anyway our new fence is almost up.
BTW I never told him it was "wrong"
just made the suggestion of checking out Greybeards post. Yes, been married a LONG time.

Now I completely understand and agree with you that Greybeard's post definitely needs some kind of accolade… See if you talk him into putting it in an article (resource) and enter it in the article writing contest?
