It started with just soft poops this morning:
Now he is peeing his poop out of his butt. 😔

What am i doing wrong????? why would this keep happening?????

Calling all sheep owners. What causes this quick of diarrhea???!!!?

The only thing I’ve found with my sheep is someone eating something they shouldn’t. Usually too many Live Oak (a type of oak) leaves or their acorns. Typically goes away after a day or two keeping them away from the oaks.
Pulling at straws- parasites?? Stress??

Too high a protein will make an animal very loose/diarrhea type manure.
Worms and eating something they are not used to will cause it also. Is his appetite okay otherwise? Needs more fiber... long hay we call it... as opposed to concentrates....
Cut the grain out for 24 hours... hay only..... and make sure nothing has changed in the pasture/pen that he is in and you have not changed his diet or access to different grasses/weeds.....

Hmmmm, I would try and give 20mL of Kayopectate, or I think 2 peptobismal. Sounds like something is up, sorry it is happening.
How much grain are you giving? Might be worth backing off the grain and even just giving hay for a couple days.
He get about 3lbs of grain morning and night

He was recently dewormed so worms arnt the problem. I wish it was that easy.

He gets alfalfa orchard hay that comes in the pre wrapped bales as tractor supply.
I’ll cut his grain today

Although he has been dewormed, have you had a fecal done? Maybe the deworming is not getting the worms he might have? Also, how long after the deworming did this happen? When an animal is dewormed, the worms and eggs in the gut tract die off, causing some digestive issues... may take as much as 3-4 days to pass things... usually it is a 24 hour period... BUT.... possible this is residual effect?

Drench him with Apple Cider Vinegar 1/4 cup mixed with 1/4 cup of water, twice daily.
ACV is nature’s disinfectant, it kills the bad gut bacteria and not the beneficial gut bacteria. It would be a good idea to put ACV in his water once you get him past this. He may be one of those sheep that cannot handle a rich diet.

ACV is a simple but effective aid for good health. It stop’s diarrhea in humans too, even food poisoning when one is running at both ends. It can save you a trip to the emergency room.
