Well, on the 20th, no one will be allowed out on winter pasture for an unknown amount of time.
So, Sunday it's supposed to be decent out. Will fix the 5th feeder & move them all so I can lock sheep out to fill them, as I'm tired of getting trampled. They'll have access to a road paddock, backyard and the barnyard. As well as the area they currently have, unless I can put up another shelter for the hay. The failed carport that was shortened by getting demolished might work for this. Way too windy & below zero today to bother with that.
Lol, y'all know I went stir crazy n went out there anyway!
Moved three feeders, then started further cleaning the barn expansion carports. Almost all of the rabbit stuff was moved on top of the rabbitry. Have some odd things to move & pallets to reuse elsewhere. Also stuck the brown roof panels along the wall to block wind.
Then two Moos were allowed in, as it's warmer on that side & it'll be 12F tonight. Unfortunately, the other side will be open tonight, as I wasn't able to gate off the bull to build their wall. That'll be done tomorrow, though. Then a ton of shavings will be put down on both sides for them. They have hay now.
Looking at a new carport for the other area for the sheep, but old temp one will go up for now.
smaller, lighter bales. Fudge.
Contacted previous supplier and I'm first on the list for 2nd cutting! Going to completely fill the barn with their, much better, hay.
Oh...they big mad I used the old hay this morning...
Also got the damaged structure up! Took a lot of work to get the legs to come off to become half length=sheep sized. Lol.
Going to put hay there and kick them out of the horse area once the arena is fenced & horses can use that as a dry lot.
*phew* it's gonna be heck registering lambs if people want all 4! Swamped! Lol
BSRA CoRs arrived today!
They had a special where BSSBA sheep could get CoRs for BSRA for free, saved a boat load of $.
Also did lifetime membership, to save time & money every year.
