Unfortunately Cosmo passed away. We tried everything and no vet in Florida was willing to hospitalize or come out to see him. He was given as bag of IV fluids yesterday and we thought he might turn around. Unfortunately he couldn’t fight forever and his lungs were filled up with too much fluid. He started having seizures this morning and by 1pm we found a vet that was willing to euthanize him.
I know your going to say there were at home methods but they arnt allowed on the property he stays at.

I am really sad that he passed away but I thank him for all that he has taught me in our short time together.

OMG I’m sooo sorry. I feel bad for both of you. It shouldn’t be that hard. 😢😢
Hope you can get another lamb (hope you want to).

About another lamb... Was the vet who came for euthanasia able to tell what illness besides coccidia was involved? I know you'll disinfect well but I would hate for your next lamb to catch whatever it was. :hugs
No it was just a ER for dogs and cats. We were lucky enough to find a vet to euthanize. They gave me his tags back but that’s all the info I have.

So I used chlorhexiodine solution to clean his stall. While I’ll never be able to get the stains out of the chain link, at least it’s clean.

The fly population is getting sad without him there. Hopefully the last fly bag I put up and him being gone they will die off by the time I get a new lamb. No need to have contamination running around on the flys

So I talked with the company I got my lamb and they were so nice. They felt bad that he passed and knew we tried everything. They offered me my money back on him but I asked if they had a different lamb available. I am getting photos tomorrow but he has a wether available that he think will do really well down here. I’m so happy I got connected with the best breeder ever. If all goes well I’ll be getting him around the 18th.

Name idea? I’m feeling Boots.
