Anyone familiar with the dancing goats of india?
They have a certain way of moving, because of their conformation. Some are more dramatically swayed in the spine.
Very upright neck and head, legs have a distinct straightness to them before putting weight on the foot again.

Been wondering why this lamb looks so weird to me. Finally figured it out. She looks like one of the dancing goats! Not a good thing, but haven't really seen it before.

More stills of them. Hopefully you can see that sharp change from wither/shoulder to rest of body. Years ago, people thought they danced because of tied legs, but I knew right away it was the spine deformity causing it, along with w/e other odd things they bred for. The teats/udders on some of these indian goats is insane. Literal tube bags down to the ground, two of them, fully separated! So bizarre!

Looks painful. I really don’t like it when people breed in problems just because it’s (to them) “cute” or “different” - like pugs, for example. Literally can’t be born without c-section and have massive health problems including barely being able to breathe.
I just don’t get the appeal :idunno

Moved the ewes n lambs to where the rams were. Rams moved to where the bull n steer were. And bull n steer moved into where the ewes n lambs were. Musical pastures.

Well!
NABSSAR has finally decided to join the other 3 registries about max height being 24 inches! Have only come across one sheep taller than 24", and I sold her off without her papers. So, it's not much of a worry for me. Though, I'll have to be more careful when buying.
