Yup...my super mamas from last time gave me each 8, 7, and 9 this weekend - everybody's doing good as of tonight and BOY AM I TIRED!

I am SUPER PROUD to see that each doe has done better her second time around in numbers...and I am getting ready to put the first batch of babies in the freezer already....I have a few more weeks to go on them, waiting patiently as they grow out a little more - weights rang from 3 - 4 lbs, most closer to 4lbs...

This rabbit thing has got me hooked...it beats the heck outta chickens in a lot of ways and I love the fact I'm not bottle feeding bunnies or brooding baby birds!

Just sharing...on a baby high at the moment!

First litter totals were 4, 4, and 6...2 are ....um...IDK...one is solid black, the other brown and white with a little black, and a PB California doe...I figured since I was going for meat, and the 2 "IDK" bunnies were meaty looking AND fun colors AND super tame and sweet...well..why not give it a go? And their litters are doing pretty good so far (the older group) as far as growing and looking good....all were bred to "meat rabbit" type bucks (Cali and NZ) so I figure that should help a little building up the babies

I'm just having fun with it...dunno if I will ever get all "serious show rabbits pedigreed bunnies" you know? I dunno about doing really fancy froo froo stuff yet, right now i want to focus on producing for our home and extended family and close friends....you know...more hobby than anything else I guess... But as long as I don't have to PLUCK anything...well....I'll call it white meat like chicken and be happy with the results :)
