Oh My!! After about the last 2 hrs of yelling, I decided to clean Bailey's cage and give her some fresh grain and water before retiring for the night. As usual she gulped up the grain and stood there bellowing at me. I poured some warm water without the kyro this time ( we are all out) into her bowl and walked away. Shortly after I heard her slopping around so I looked and she sucked her bowl dry! I filled it back up and she drank a good bit from it also!!! WooHoo!! I think I got her beat!!! Just had to push her to her limit!!

I can't get past your first post. She's 3 months old and has lived in your house her entire life.

I don't get that part.

I can understand keeping a kid indoors if the weather is truly nasty. Even so, I booted Buckwheat out of the house at about a month, getting him used to the weather in the barn by putting him in a dog crate. I've never seen him drink but decided to let him hang out with all the other kids. Not interested in them. Wants his bottle. :barnie He's down to 20 oz of milk once a day at 2 months.

I think he drinks when I'm not around. :idunno

I know it sounds crazy and coming from someone who does not allow pets nor any animal in the house, IT HAS BEEN A LONG # MONTHS!! She was born the first of Jan. w/ a twin in frigid temps. Mom didnt want them and temps were so low they would not register on thermometer!!! I lost the twin the first night but continued working w/ Bailey!! Then after getting her up to par the weather seemed to be to cold to leave her out w/ noone to snuggle with. Everyone I know says they need to acclimated or they will get pnemonia! I was sort of between a rock and a hard place I guess. It has been warming up here a little during the day but just when it looks like the temps are gonna stay in the low 30's at night, they drop back to 20's which is where we are now. So because I have lost a couple little ones this yr. I refuse to even take the chance w/ her. She plays w/ the others at day and sleeps in her crate at night indoors!! May sound crazy to some but I really do not know how to get her adjusted to the weather if we cant even get adjusted!! So I gues until the temps decide to stay above 40 @ night.......She will be w/ me!!!

She is needless to say, A bit spoiled! lol

I've always heard the saying "stubborn as a mule," but I think it should be "stubborn as a goat!" Glad to hear she finally started drinking on her own. What an ordeal! Great going! :bow
