I was wondering if you have any tips on selling breeding animals after the show

We have a auction sale, the evening after the Show! We have done this for years, so we advertise alot, and the buyers come an hour or 2 early for the sale and we supply and feed them supper! It seems to work pretty well!!

I know that some hang a small sign advertising that the animal is for sale- it also might depend on the fair rules as well.

At our fair they have an auction for the market animals. They had to make their minimum weight requirement and they are sold in the order that they place and the species are broken up. So they're will be a couple sheep, a couple hogs, a goat, a cow, then a couple more sheep and it just keeps going until they are all done. We are not allowed to sell any animals privately while at fair.

Some fairs may let you have a for sale sign on an animal.
