Yeah, thats good but I wish more than ten at a time were on. We offer more animals but BYC is packed often, lol. Of course BYC offers alot too.

We saw the same pattern with BYC when it was growing up. Some lurked for a very long time before joining. If you want a busier forum the key is good information bases with the allowance for diversity of theory,interests and approach. This is what turned the tide for BYC and created the huge growth and activity increases. So in the end it is the membership and their contributions that make the difference. With the group currently here we have very good potential for a solid community.

This forum has come a long way. Hard to believe the whole concept for BYH started as an April Fools joke.

Could you tell us this tale? I've yet to hear it.

I'll dig up the thread from BYC and link it back here. But it all started out as an April fools joke that BYC was going to branch out with a new forum called Back Yard Cows. The membership and staff started to brain storm after the fact and there was a real push to make an all animal sister forum for BYC. Thus BYH was born, or calved, or kidded ....
