oh a few ideas--you may want to further group all the legumes together within the category they are under. lots of different clovers you could include--ladino, durana, crimson, red, etc. alfalfa and peanuts and vetch are all legumes too.

and maybe just list bermuda instead of coastal bermuda since there are so many different varieties of bermuda besides coastal although coastal is the best known. or you could elaborate on all the different varieties if you just have too much time on your hands lol.

and another thought, maybe you could kind of categorize by when they are grown. like cool season annual vs warm season annual or cool season perennials vs warm season perennials, etc.

I can look into this.

There is only one, May-September. We don't have your varied growing season here. I'm not sure about ctegorizing them this way, I think it maybe a bit to much.

Interesting! I have changed the pic to the cotton field. There was another hay mentioned in the article and I will see if I can find a pic and put it on-maybe a day or two.
oh yeah, bahia is a big one down here. peanut hay, bermuda, and bahia are our major hays. a lot of pastures here are bahia grass.

Kitty,
This could be a great 4H resource page ) :D

Could you make a section on dangerous feed? In our area, wilted wild cherry leave are poisonous. Not fresh, not dry, only WILTED wild cherry. I think it makes cyanide, not sure, but it is deadly to ruminants and only takes a few mouthfuls.
Is it Japanese Yew that is also poisonous? I forget my Dairy Bowl training.:( and Larkspur?
I found this link too from Univ of MD::

Looks to me like you found a good source for such info. Why don't you start a thread about it. Or if you want an actual page, like the crop page, you can do one in your "my page". You don't have to be a mod to do that. The breed page and I believe, the equipment page were done before I became a mod. If your thread/my page turns out with good info (and with that link it looks good) I can add it into the index found in my sig.

Okay, I'll bite, What is a custic burno? I'm sure it's not a chemical burn, which is what first comes to mind.
