Chillin' with the herd
I have two mini fainting does. I purchased them a couple months back along with a buck. The girls are 13-15 months old and the buck is 4 years old. ( buck purchased from another farm)
They have been together for 6 weeks and neither have gone into heat. I contacted the previous owner and she had them in with her buck since March- they never went into heat for her.
Here is where I would like your feedback:
I brought them to my vet hoping that we missed their cycle and they were actually pregnant. She did an ultrasound and it showed no babies. She then gave them a shot of lutalyse on Wednesday and said that by Friday- Saturday I will see them go into heat.
Well here we sit Saturday and nada! The buck is not interested at all and they are showing no signs of heat!
The does are from different parents - so I am doubting a genetic thing here ..... Any thoughts???
