I'm so sorry. No matter how long they are with us, it never seems like long enough. I know you will miss her

Aleshia passed during the night. She was just as we left her, warm and comfortable with her head on a wool blanket and no signs of struggle.
Ironically, a beautiful white blanket of new snow fell over night as well.
(Grateful that the school closing allowed me to go to the barns alone while the girls slept in.)

I am so sorry for your loss-- but what a long loved and cared for life she was lucky to get with you! I know every time we lose an animal here I feel like I'm crazy to want to bring home more as I feel it so heavily. <3 Condolences
