Am I allowed goats?

Sorry if this is the wrong section, I'm planning on buying goats, and was wondering how I can find out about whether someone's going to come along and fine me for having animals I'm not allowed to!

I live in a fairly rural community in southeastern Indiana, still in town limits, but on the edge of probably 10 acres of woods.

You would have to check your local codes. We called codes over here and after being redirected 5 times we finally got answers from animal control. They are the ones that enforce any animal-related problems so they knew all the rules. We had to have over 2 acres to have animals with hooves and their enclosure had to be 75 ft from any habitable structure (which somehow included garages?).

Around here in Florida the best places are Animal control and Florida Fish and Wildlife FWC ! Im sure every state has there own version.
