I know sore mouth is the obvious answer, but it doesn't look like any of the pictures I've seen online.

Inside mouth, lips, nose, ears all clear.

No puss, blood, etc.

Any ideas what this is? She is isolated for now.

I'm really not sure. Possibly just the beginning stages of soremouth? But you're right, it doesn't really look like the pictures. Did they start out as bumps and then turn into that? How is the lamb acting otherwise? Temp ok? Eating/drinking/eliminating ok? I really think I'd call a vet at this point.

And I love that halter! ;)

Well, it's been ~2 weeks now but not spread, no one else has anything like it, etc. Thought it was just a cut at first. She's doing great otherwise - eating well, normal poops, chatty and social. She does have worms, but treatment going well.

Already had the vet out. First thought was sore mouth, hence the isolation, but doing more research. He said it could be a swollen salivary gland.

Will post updates as I get them, but was just wondering if anyone else had seen something like this.

And thanks - I love the halter too! Just hope I don't have to throw it out :-( Wonder what I can clean it with after this clears up?

It looks like a round sore to me, with some hair missing as well. It almost looks like if you pulled the scab off there would be pus in there.

Maybe if you took some more pictures (of other sores) and emailed Susan Schoenian (the woman who created sheepandgoat.com and sheep101 and 201, she may have an idea of what it is. She's very knowledgeable!!
