Well.. There technically is gmo wheat but there is NO FDA approved gmo wheat. It's completely illegal for wheat to be genetically modified in the US. That's what all this stink is about in Oregon.

So as of right now, it's to logical to say that it's unlikely that your wheat is gmo but I suppose it's possible.

The GMO wheat intolerance report came from Canada, not the US...I just assumed it would be the same in both countries? I truly wish all countries would stop messing with the food supply...go back to times of family farms growing food and not the huge agriculture mass producers.

Scratch-N-Peck carries Non-GMO products, they are on the west coast.

Countryside Organics does also, they carry excellent products, located on the east coast. We used to co-op their products in, but the shipping got to be too expensive so we switched to S-N-P and they are pretty good.

Kudos on the Scratch-N-Peck recommendation. I stumbled on them not long ago as well.
I typically don't read the fluff on any given website, but have to admit I found their FAQ section - refreshing

About wheat... not sure where you are all getting your info, but this headline should raise an eyebrow - and get you to pause

South Korea joins Japanese ban on U.S. wheat imports after shocking GMO contamination announcement by USDA

What do you mean you didn't know that other countries were banning our wheat?
Yeah, it's a shock that we have been lied to, again. Pinch me.

Sorry, I would post the link to the article, but - being a newbie on this board they (understandably) don't want a first timer posting links (spam)
The article though was on Natural News (.com)

Scratch And Peck does look awesome! We are all the way down in Texas though. I doubt we could afford the shipping. But I have found a feed mill called "Hugeland" that makes non-gmo feeds. They have non-gmo chicken feed as well as dairy feed for cows. So I am thinking I can get our cow on organic/non-gmo feed along with the chickens!

Wow! And I have been telling my family this whole time that its only soy and corn we have to watch for and that our wheat was fine! I think I need to figure out how to grow some wheat too!
