If these are the same Bertha Army Worms we had in Kenora, they go in a wide swath and eat everything in their path...if a tree is in their path, they crawl up it, over and down the other side and continue. You'd have to know their path to put chickens in the ready for the feast. The ones we had didn't stray off their path...a house, garden, shed, car, trees, crops...they went in a wide swath and did so much damage. They did this every seven years...other years we didn't see any. Nasty things!
