Baby goats with runny poo

Ok I'm bottle feeding two 3 wk old goats, I'm feeding them with milk replacer, this is the 3rd day on replacer and they have black runny poo they are active and happy little girls but I know that this could be serious so I need some help and advice asap

Cold turkey sorry the lady I got them from said they should be ok and I did this a long time ago but had no prob with that baby so no experience here with this particular prob

Unfortunately, you got some bad information. I think if you read those threads you will get some better information. Unfortunately, I don't have as much knowledge about it as some others here like Roll Farms or Helmstead.

You'll likely find lots of good info in the threads Karen posted. Just wanted to add that we also use whole Vitamin D cow's milk from the grocery store when goat's milk is unavailable rather than replacer. Also, 3 weeks is when we do our first round of coccidiostat so that'd be something to look into if the breeder didn't discuss coccidiosis prevention with you.

got some regular milk tonight and will go to the farm store tomorrow for some drench ,No never thought of coccidiostat so i'll look for that to but I read those threads that Karen posted and by the looks of it it sounds like the replaceer But I will do all that has been suggested I appreciate everyone help ;)

Let us know if the whole milk works. Mine did great on it glad I read it on this thread. They've also been getting some raw goats milk now that 2 of our does have freshened. Mixing the two isn't bothering them.

they have been doing great with the milk up to 3 feedings a day of 20oz each is that to much?? they seem fine with it and some times they want more ?? also when can I go back to the replacer should I mix it with the milk little by little ? I know lots of questions :hu
