Banded kid looks infected What to do?

My 14 week old kid was banded 2 weeks ago. Today I looked at it and it looks infected. Under the band next to stomach area its cracked and there is puss. Should I clean it and give antibotics or something Help? Im a newbe!

If you are seeing pus, then it probably is infected. I would get some Penicillin into him. Probably be good to clean him up. I'm not totally sure what to do with him since I have even done my first banding yet. Hopefully someone else will jump on and give some better directions for this.

Are you sure it's puss? It's normal for there to be some clear "goo" when the skin starts to separate from the abdomenal wall...

Infection will stink, and have colorful exude...

Ok the breeder I bought my boer's from came over and we cleaned it really well with iodine. She said its getting ready to fall off. Just needed some cleaning. The puss I saw had already dried up since I looked at it earlier. Thanks for the response I was worried
