I have 2 x10 Airsight cameras; I love it. My needs were wireless, IP, weather tight, wide angle, and night vision. For the price I couldn't be happier. No pan and tilt, no audio but it does what I need and the night vision is amazing. I did install an exterior signal repeater as I am about 200' from the barn and it was weak. Had to open ports on my router for remote viewing but I am network engineer so not a problem.

I bought my cameras about 3 years ago. Don't know anything about the current ones other than I will be buying more. My only wish is that the mounting hardware be better.

I got a signal repeater for the same reason; my needs were 200' with a router that only covered 125'. I will be getting a new one that is POE powered and has a range of 1.5 miles. That should get me to every out structure on the property. Then I can add more cameras.

Was just thinking this morning - yanno if I had a baby monitor this would be so much easier - nah you're crazy, no one does that for their goats ( I told myself).... :::whistling::::

My repeater is a tp-link TL-WA5210G, its range is supposedly 2 km and it has helped but my router in the house is ancient and I should upgrade it. My internet connection is pretty bad too as we live in the country, no cable out here, so viewing over the internet can be a challenge. Viewing from my living room is fine. I think I may try and hardwire the new barn as I want a camera for every kidding stall, I think that is 12 total so that is a lot of competition for wireless. It will depend on how much a multiport switch will cost me.

I'm out in the country as well. I've got DSL though. I didn't want to run wires everywhere, that's why I went wireless. But if you want to hardwire your cameras, I would go with a CCTV set up. They have some very affordable systems on Amazon. I know they have all the parts you need for whatever type of system you put in.

Im out in the boonies too so internet was out. We have a cheap-o Summer video and an expensive Samsung video, both are baby monitor type....the cheap-o Summer works WAY better. Not as high quality but no signal interruption and actually works further away! Our barn is 200+ft away and getting signal in that barn is next to impossible. ...goooooo cheap-o! They have them for $50-$100 on babies r us! Well worth NOT going to the barn every 10 minutes :D

I never really thought about going CCTV; I will have to look into that, thanks for the idea as there certainly would be a lot of cables if I wanted 6 + cameras.
