BTX ewe had triplets, 2 ewes and a ram. Rocky is the sire of these three. She had triplets last year, didn’t clean out good and got an infection. I went to the vet for Lute and a strong antibiotic. She got better but could only feed one lamb, so I bottle fed the other two.

In the morning I will give her a shot of lute and antibiotic just to make sure she expels all of the placenta and doesn’t get an infection again.

Buford was extremely protective of her, guarding her while she gave birth.

Wonderful to see another set of triplets. This one is a definite keeper ewe. Your feeding prgram is right on target too. Flushing them properly to drop more eggs, and strong enough to lamb and feed mutiples. And 2 registerable ewes as well!

The best part is, her previous owners sold her because she singled twice. I got her as a 3 year old, bred her to old Ringo and she singled, the only registered ewe I have out of old Ringo. Then triplets 2 times in a row! She is so sweet. She was the first lamb born to the couple. And they SOLD her. And I might have posted her picture last year on a Katahdin FB page, with triplets, thanking that couple……….. I might have…….

Cooper. This year is Rocky. She was in a field with Little Ringo, but was standing at the gate bellowing and wanting out. Ok. I opened the gate, she followed me to the front yard gate and I let her in. I opened the gate to Rocky’s pen and they got busy. She chose Rocky.

Ewenique pulled the same thing. She was in the front field, no ram. I was going to retire her, 11 years old. Nope. She stood at the gate screaming at me. I opened the gate across the driveway. Then opened the gate to the front field. She ran across the driveway through that pen, to the gate that let her out on the field with Cooper. She had twin rams1-14-25.

Dessa had twins last night. Up, nursed, placenta expelled. I moved her and lambs to Coopers pen, he is out on the field with ewes. I’ll feed her extra for a little while.
They are white. Little Ringo is the sire. 1ram, 1ewe.

I have to get pictures, was dealing with ice. Hauling boiling water, ground is frozen, water buckets are blocks of ice. LOL

This makes 40 lambs now. 2 more holdout ewes to go!

Wow...she did awesome job with the frigid cold & all! Getting them dry, up & nursing!
