Nothing yet. She wants nothing to do with me. I was sitting in a lawn chair in the night pen and she kept staring at me. Ok ok I’m leaving. It’s 8:12, dark and maybe she needs her privacy. None of the other sheep are bedded down for the night. I even put Sentry in the pen with Sheba and Buford. Sentry usually stays close to lambing ewes. She seemed uneasy.
.....any Dessa news? Or is she just being her ornery self? Mine -- I've been w.a.i.t.i.n.g. forever it seemed, on one of mine, and she finally gave it up yesterday!
Our main mentor has been our UT Extension Agent who did an internship at one of the huge New Zealand sheep stations. He said that the sheep folks down there went on holiday when lambing season started and that's kind of the attitude we have had with our sheep.
Breech. Dead. Buried. Big shot of penicillin for Dessa. Looks like she will make full recovery and be bred back in May as @Ridgetop suggested to me this morning.
Dessa gets another chance. Maybe next time will be better.
