@frustratedearthmother It was hilarious how many variants of bed sheet togas where on display when water main on 13th floor of dorm tower broke at college late at night. I lived in dorm across the street and we were letting everyone come in out of the December cold.

Power came back on at 4:45. Not raining now. On my first cup of coffee.

Got 4” of rain. I’ve been outside, dumped feed tubs, fed and all are ok.

Tornado destroyed a mobile home, here in Trinity county, neighbor dug the man, a Conroe police officer , out and called 911. Officer is critically injured. Neighbor found his wife thrown out in a field, injured, but not as bad as her husband.

All the gates on Lake Livingston dam are open, mandatory evacuation downstream. Trinity River will crest on Saturday, floods aren’t over yet. Lots of homes flooded. Paved roads washed away, that’s why you NEVER drive through water over the road. Destruction all over deep East Texas and Southeast Texas.

The high school in Trinity recorded 16 inches of rain. Elsewhere it was anywhere from 4” to 18” of rain. All in about 6 hours.

Prayers for those injured... that is such an extreme amount of water for you there. Sorry for all that your area is going through.

Nope! She’s on the San Jancinto River and its Lake Conroe that floods her.

Thank Heaven the power came on in time to make coffee!

Terrible about the police officer and his wife. Hope they are ok.
