SOOOO glad I got that little pallet palace done yesterday. It’s pouring rain now. Was fixing to go outside but think I’ll hang around in the house. It’s not supposed last long.

Bennett has a huge old boar in the trap and raced back to his house to get his gun to shoot it. Then he went racing back. Huge old boar, raining, I think I’ll pass on it.

Big boar but not old, plus a decent sized sow. Yup, I did.

Had to drag the boar out with 4 wheeler, to heavy to drag by hand

Meat is iced down, half cup of salt sprinkled and I’ll process on a couple of days.

Whew! I’ve been hoggin’ it today. Not finished, but got the sow done. I cleaned up my mess, went and got another 20# bag of ice, drained ice cooler and put fresh ice in. I weighed a ham from the boar, 22 pounds! I’m gonna finish chores, get a shower and go to a gospel meeting with friends tonight.
