There is a difference between BYC and the 3 sister sites. BYC is so huge, that it has some different settings and procedures. The 3 sister sites seem to be identical copies of each other.

I don’t quite remember what’s different, but I remember the staff saying something about the difference at the time they changed servers in May of 2017. And I have noticed over the years that there are some things I do here that I cannot do there, and vice versa.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that when a sister site goes down, all 3 go down but BYC doesn’t. And when BYC goes down, the sister sites aren’t affected.
BYC is on a different server/s.

The sister sites appear to all be on the same server.

Dragged out boxes last night from BJ’s “office” to finally go through. They have been sitting in my bedroom for 3 years, it’s time to go through and keep some, throw some away. Found this picture of me, probably 48-ish.

I love the pictures, both of them.

We had a couple Siamese cats when the kids were small. I still have a fondness for the breed.

The cat’s name was Duckie. Daughter and I rescued a Muscovy from a Great Dane, took the duck to county animal control and came out with a cat. Named her Duckie. Seemed appropriate. The duck recovered and went to live on a farm pond with other ducks.

DD got married to a guy with terrible allergies to, cats. I found Duckie a home.

I got my truck back Saturday!!! My sister in law drove it home, I followed in my car. Sunday morning when I parked the car at church and walked past the front of it, there was spray on the hood. Well darn, truck is still leaking. They found an oil leak and fixed it, guess there is more than one. After church, I hitched the stock trailer and went for a test drive. Sure enough, there were droplets on the front of the trailer. Son said maybe it’s residual oil from it being worked on, check oil often and keep a jug in the truck just in case it is another leak. My thoughts are that it is another leak.
