I use the same prairie hay that they get fed, who wouldn't want to nibble in bed lol

Pine and Cedar should not be used. It can cause many respiratory problems in

rabbits, and should be avoided. If your dead set on hay or straw - Use timothy hay.

It's safe & edible :p . Straw is also OK. Just change bedding often. I use aspen.

it's absorbent, and usually it's cheaper than other beddings.

Beddings to Avoid

x] Pine & Cedar - Can cause respiratory issues

x] Cat litter - Rabbits often eat their bedding. Clumping cat litter
can clump in the rabbit's stomach, causing blockages.
It's also very dusty, and does no good to a rabbit's lungs.

x] Glossy sales papers - Ink is toxic

OK beddings
x] Aspen - Very absorbent - Totally safe

x] Carefresh - Also very absorbent and totally safe to your rabbit

x] Straw - Is not the best, but it's OK.

x] Timothy hay - A good way of being sure your rabbit has access to it 24/7, is to use it as
bedding! :p

x] B&W newspaper - Horrible bedding. UNabsorbent, does NOT help urine smell. I only use it when
I have to. I DO use it to line the bottum of the litterbox, though. But it IS safe.

x] Fleece - Very good bedding. Lasts a long time. Easily washable. Does not hold urine, and
makes a very good bedding.
