I really love my Nubians. They are personable, calm, don't get into trouble, don't get out of their pens, etc. All around great goats. At first I was turned off by the roman nose, but when I saw them in person I actually ended up liking them better than the others. They give me a ton of milk and are really easy milkers. I milked 5 this last year and was getting about 30 gallons a week. We are dry now (no milk) because everyone is pregnant, so this year I hope to have 4-5 in milk and then have another 4 to stagger halfway through the year so we can have milk year round with no dry period. I love my Nubians!
We always seem to end up with Nubians beside our pens at shows. They stick there heads through and steal our hay. If I scold them they just look at me with those big brown eyes :)

HA! Bad goats

LOL! Everyone says that, but honestly I have never had a single issue with them! (Knock on wood). They are sweet and well behaved. They don't get into trouble or try to get out of their pens, and another thing people say is that they are noisy, but mine aren't at all! And they aren't even all related. I sourced them from breeders all over Southern California. I love them, they are wonderful. :love

I love Nubians. I went with them because I had read that Nubian milk is the closest to Cows Milk. Family likes the taste.

I was just joking. I love Nubians too.

But, we did have some beside us at a show one time, and for some reason they thought our hay was better than theres.

There was this sweet little yearling doe that was so beautiful.

We have ND's because of our limited space. If I ever have a real farm one day, I will have some Nubians

Mine aren't loud at all. Ok, only when they are completely out of hay. ;)

Is one breed supposed to me more vocal/loud than the other?

Seems to me it's individual animals. I have ND's and a couple of them are very mouthy. Others hardly make a peep.

Like you said, when they think you should be out there feeding them, they let you know.

My lamanchas tend to be very quiet. Both non talkers and quiet voices. I've heard other people say this too. Anything nubian or nubian mixed has been a complete screamer here! I feed free choice hay and free choice brush. Belligerently yelling for the heck of it, or because I'm inside just doesn't work for me!

I say goat differ in many ways from breed to breed.

Like Nubians always want you and are loud, most of the time.

LaManchas are SOOOOOO bad, all the time ;)

Kikos are the best all the time. haha
