I think I identified the second one as a purple swamp hen, but that hypothesis has never been proven, lol. The first is a pelican of some sort, we have lots by the river.

Really? Never heard that before. Well, there are a lot of them on our city river, so it might be a different sort, I guess.

lol yea, we have some awesome ones around, although they're pretty hard to spot (most of the good ones by the river either hide in reeds or spend most of the time underwater ) I have managed to take a few decent pics of cormorants though.
