I have a small herd so this year I planned for my does to kid about a month apart. They mixed it up on the time of day, but all gave birth on the coldest day of that month...one on the coldest day this year. Brrrrrrr! Oh and all delivered a day or two past a full moon.
My first fresheners waited until I went out to run a quick errand and my experienced gals wanted me there. ??? Go figure!

We only had 3 does that were bred. Our first one kidded at 6:30pm. One is about to any day or so and then I have another that is due to kid in Nov. I got her already bred so I don't know when she was with the buck.

Well this survey went really well and I think it will help alot of newtimers. So pretty much it went like this...

Seven posts of the day
One post of the evening and
One post of the night

I would have thought like most animals it would be in the night time. Its easier knowing that the odds are better for the day time as I am busy during the day and dont have to dwell on it.

Thank you everyone for your posts to the survey.

LOL I'm late to this one...

Out of all of our kiddings, I've only had two in the middle of the night. A couple early am, a few late pm. Most occur late morning or 3-7 pm.
