I am thinking @Goat Whisperer may be right... did she have her CDT.. did the ewe? Sounds more like enterotoxemia than bloat.

Thank you for the info. It has been a rough week here. I will have to look into all recommended vaccines for sheep/goats because i guess my vet knows even less then i thought and gave me a lot of wrong information. I was under the impression i only needed to give CDT to kids/lambs.I'm so sorry you lost her. I just now saw this thread. I lost my Dobie four years ago and still can't talk about her without tearing up.
Every ewe should have a CDT booster 4-6 weeks before delivery. Every sheep should have a booster every year. They are easy to give and can be found in the refrigerated section of your local feed store.
