Blood in milk...how common is this?

If she's not acting funny and eating and drinking fine, she won't need probios. It won't hurt her, but it'd be wasted IMO.

Sorry to hijack the post - but I have the same question now...She kidded almost 3 weeks ago...But I am doing Fiasco's way of weaning (2 weeks stricktly for baby, then start milking once a day ect.) We've been milking for about a week, then today there were 2 small clots, and a few clumps (couldn't figure out why the milk was going so slow through the filter!)...Her udder is pretty soft (not hard) and warm like the OP said...

Do you guys think this might be mastitis? And how would I treat if so?
