Another question: do you have facilities, or a gate you could use to pin her in so you can put the ointment in her eye? I know for sure she won't let you do it without having her head caught in a head gate or pinned down and sat on by a person or two.

ohh lord no, I don't, but I was showing dh a few plans I have found on how to build one... It's on the honey-do list...

Then that means you'll have to trip her some how and get either you or your hubby to hold her down while one of you treats her. If she's good enough to let you near enough to pet her, then you could do that. If not, a rope or cane could help as well.
