I am a relatively new breeder who is specializing in boer and boer-crossed breedstock replacements. I am keeping my herd small so that all animals are well handled and tame. I am expecting my next batch of kids mid January 2014, out of five different does. You can see photos of the does, bucks, and when they become available, the kids, as well as more information on my herd on my website at https://sites.google.com/site/goatfarm101/ . Thanks!

Hi
I looked at your website, your herd looks very good.

Between now and March I am going to be looking for 2-3 high cross Boer doelings. I like your Alpine doe and your buck Boomer. I will be breeding them to a Kiko buck when they are of age.

I am in northern MI, its about 7 hrs to Columbus for me. So you are in a driveable distance.

Hope its warmer for you there then we have.

Good luck on the kidding.

Jake

Thanks. I replied via email, but I'm not sure if that works like Facebook, so I thought I'd better reply here, as well. The girls are doing well, Diali (the Alpine) is beginning to show signs of imminent labor, so it should be soon. She was bred to Bob, Lil Bit and Sadie were bred to Boomer, and should be kidding within a week of Diali (after). So there should be a good chance of 2-3 doelings for you. I intend to post a birth report and probably photos on the website, as well as a thread on goatspot. Let me know if anything interests you.

Not naturally polled, no, but I am selling one of my polled does, Daphne. She should be bred to Boomer and due in July. I'm asking $200 for her. You can see photos of both at my website.

Jake, I have decided to sell two does, Annie and Daphne. Both are exposed to Boomer, and ennobled registered buck. You can see photos of them on the website. If you are interested, send me an email. Thanks.

Love the website! Your management style is very similar to mine. I sell to mainly other producers who have Boers like you but want more parasite resistance, less hoof problems, low birth weights with exceptional growth rates and the hybrid vigor. I do sell the occasional buck kid for meat and the occasional replacement doe. My goats thrive on mostly browse with little interventions except twice yearly dewormings if indicated by the FAMACHA method and hoof trims if needed. You may not be too far from us in Corryton, TN (4 hr. Drive). Check out my Facebook page: www.facebook.com/calfeefarms and visit my web page. I may have some replacement does for sale in early fall. You have some good lookin' goats and I like the fact that you add splashes of other breeds to cash in on hybrid vigor and added resistance against internal parasites and hoof problems.

I have also decided to sell Annie and her mother Charlotte, as I'm reaching my desired herd size. You can see their photos and info on the website. If anyone is interested, please email or message me. I'm asking $150 for Annie (first time kidder) and $175 for Charlotte (always had triplets so far).
