Fen is the most hilarious dog I have ever lived with.
He makes up games to play with Boone.
He especially loves playing tug with an antler (Don’t ask. It’s a Fen thing😂)
Here he attempted to combine two of his favorite games, “Antler Tug” and “Clobber Boone”. Unfortunately, he underestimated the width of Boone’s jaw and when he places the antler, the entire thing disappears 😂

Trip to town for consult. Boone was amazing gud boi again. We began by making friends with everyone in NAPA as the truck batteries went down and AC plus all dash stuff instantly quit working. 92 degrees with no AC and windows that wouldn’t roll down=instant panic attack. Stopped short of town to get new batteries.

He was chill as always, leading me through the ranch store, even while making sure his yak chews made it into the bag…
He had 6 saleswomen fawning
all over him in the back of the store where he introduced himself to all of them and graced them with permission to rub his belly… he truly adores his fans

Smiles from the back seat…

He had to sit in truck while we ate dinner because he “mansprawls” in the restaurant

btw, he is looking this big from the BACK seat! He doesn’t fit in driver’s seat 😳

And his last interaction with Boone groupies was in Winco. People always stop to ask about him and he enjoys the interaction. Being a severe introvert myself, it’s actually a welcome thing for me as I never get to see people and it’s comfortable talking about my dog…

All was well until the trip home. Boone gets stressed by the long drive. Once we are in town he doesn’t mind going from store to store but he panics when he realizes the 4 hr trip is underway. Last night he was trying to crawl up on Randy‘s lap while he was driving he was stressing me out. He was gonna get us killed. Fortunately I found a seatbelt strap from back when Heath was with me and I was able to hook his harness to the buckle, and made all the difference and he rode quietly in the back rest of the way home

You two together are amazing 🥰.
And he's still so young yet. He's going to be one of those 'once in a lifetime' dogs once he fully comes into his own.

You ever get that choked up feeling, where your eyes water too easily, you might even let go a sob, and there’s that funny feeling in your chest because you love something so much? I had it with Heath. Boone is making me feel that way too.

Fen just makes me cry because I love him a lot but he doesn’t return the sentiment. Not even a little. 😳

❤️❤️❤️❤️
Chaos does it for me.
I once texted my sister when we were supposed to meet to let her know I was going to be late. She asked if things were OK. I said that I had been getting ready to leave & Chaos came meowing & asking to be held. When I picked him up he put a paw on each side of my face & lightly head butted my chin. I said "Awww, what would I do without you?" ...... then broke down & sobbed at the thought of losing him.
She said "You're such a weirdo! 😢 Now I've got to go hug Mongie (her cat). See you in an hour. 💗"
