so, friday night, the mother of these two baby goats passed away. I'm struggling with making the one of the two babies eat milk.
they're almost a month old, they eat grass and alfalfa...
they're on milk replacement, and im looking into real milk.

anyone have ideas on making him drink?

thanks.

Give them whole cows milk. It is easier to make the transition and it is fine for them nutritionally. It is also cheaper.

Feed them 3 x a day, 8 hours apart. If they won't eat at one meal, wait until the next. They will eat when they get hungry enough.

Good Luck, sorry to hear about your doe.

sorry about your doe. If they really won't take the bottle, the other thing you can try is giving them a pan of milk.

I've gotten a 3 week old kid on the bottle before. It took 4 days of trying to feed her every 3 hrs or so...but she did finally accept the bottle.

So sorry about your doe.
