Loving the herd life
Loving this weather here in Ny! With the cooler weather comes the perfect time for breeding for the goats as well. We have a heard of 35 and we have now about 11 of our 19 does bred for early Feb. Took the bucks away to wait for another couple months till we breed the others. So excited though and can hardly wait till the kids are born. We raise Purebred French ALpine and mini-alpine with a couple of dairy crosses and one single Nubian doe thrown in. Our Frenchies are mostly pieds and pinto type coloring and patterns and I can't wait to see the kids!!!! I have two of my mini-Alpines from this past year in the MDGA V-show right now. Submission times end on Oct. 1st. If anyone wants to send in pics of mini goats for a virtual show that they can earn "legs" then go to www.miniaturedairygoats.com but do it fast as it closes in two days!!! Keeping my fingers crossed that my guy and gal do good.
