Contacted a lady on Craigslist selling a pedigreed breeding pair of Californians. I met the lady, paid for the rabbits and was in my truck ready to head out. Then she mentions that they are brother sister? Is it OK to breed them or should I find another Californian to get started?
Thanks
Myke

Nah, that's fine. Especially since you're doing meat rabbits. If you kept breeding relatives for several generations you'd start seeing that their good points were excessively good and their bad points were excessively bad. But for meat kits, it doesn't matter at all. They won't have two heads or green fur, at least!

Thanks DianeS, I thought it was ok, but wanted to be sure, although a two-headed green rabbit might be a pretty big moneymaker.
