I have a question for those that have lots of experience cooking rabbit: Do you brine? If you do, why? And how? If you don't, why not?

I have only been cooking rabbit for a few months and I dont brine. I cooked several rabbits before I knew that brining was an option. As long as I let the meat rest for a day or two before I cook or freeze it I get tender tasty meat . So now im not sure I understand the need for an extra step.

We have never brined a rabbit and we eat about 3 a month. Just never saw a reason to do it.
